On to the next version of YOU
And when I'm back in Chicago, I feel it
Another version of me, I was in it
I wave goodbye to the end of beginning
Those are lyrics from the song “End of Beginning,” by actor and singer Joe Keery, known for his role in Stranger Things. The song reflects on his time after moving to Chicago for college. Shortly after, he was cast in Stranger Things and everything he had built in Chicago became a distant memory.
The sacrifice it took to become an actor pulled him away from the place he thought he’d be for the rest of his life.
Are you in a place where what you thought was your beginning is actually the end?
Many times, what we believe to be the start of something new is only a pit stop a temporary space designed to shape us, refine us, and prepare us for what’s next.
The journey toward discovering your highest self often includes unexpected turns and pauses. But by the time you walk through that destiny door, you’ll find that every pit stop had a purpose. You’ll realize you’ve been equipped and prepared to fully embrace the fruitfulness that lies ahead.
So, encourage yourself to enjoy the process. Your outcome may be better than you could ever imagine.
Remember this: the end of your beginning often marks the end of an old version of you because your new version requires another beginning.
